A skill is a reusable capability packaged as a directory with a SKILL.md file. Skills typically wrap a tool, an MCP call, or a procedure that the AI calls from inside a workflow or in response to a keyword.

Categories

• Domain skills — e.g. datadog-logs, a11y-review, i18next-translation.
• Meta skills — config-audit, governance-sync, template-sync-audit.
• Operational skills — oncall, watch-deploy, incident-manager.
